Peace

To wish someone shalom was to work toward complete reconciliation, completeness and wholeness in your relationship. Shalom goes for the individual, between people, in communities and nations, but especially between us and God.

Then the full essence of shalom -- the prince of peace -- came in the flesh, Jesus Christ.

Jesus came as the prince of peace, from the kingdom of peace, that reveals truth, though truth can also divide people.

The Word of God is Sharp and True… and that truth often divides between people who accept truth (Mt 10:40) and those who refuse to accept the truth.‌

But as peace-makers, we also seek the truth in each situation, we want the truth to be revealed and brought to light!

By choosing to follow the prince of peace, the kingdom of peace, we may face situations that are not so peaceful.

How are we peace-makers in these situations as Jesus is our peace-maker between us and God?

We share in Jesus’ shalom when we are shalom-makers… seeking to make shalom between people.

Grow as peace-makers who celebrate and live in the peace that our Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, made for us with God.‌ Making peace requires action in the mess of conflict toward the goal of reconciliation and unity.
