Intro (1/2): Reading Revelation

We read Revelation to know Jesus better. He revealed Himself to John, to write to real people, living in real places and times, to comfort with hope and confront during real life challenges (in light of life’s pressuring powers, will we remain true to the Lamb’s Power or of the Dragon’s Power?). We read Revelation naturally as it guides us through it’s different genres. The Book of Revelation is a circular Letter, with a prophetic message speaking to people in light of who God is. It transforms how we see God, ourselves, and the world. It’s a call for Disciples’ Faithfulness to Jesus -- our faithful witness, risen king, and victorious Lamb.
