Intro (2/2): Setting of Revelation

When reading Revelation, it helps to ask and remember,
- “What were these Christians going through?”
- “Why was Jesus needing John to write to these Christians in these 7 churches in Asia Minor (an extension of the Roman Empire)?”
Context gives up depth and rich meaning for them and for us today. Revelation encourages the enduring perseverance with faithful hope from Our King Jesus, while confronting the tension to compromise with the pressuring culture and seductive powers of satan’s kingdom, lived out as the spirit of Babylon.
