Praying Through God's Word

When we are praying through God’s Word, we begin praying in ways we never really considered praying before. Bring all of those vulnerable thoughts to God in prayer. Let God’s inspired words inspire our prayers.

“The Psalms invite us to be authentic and honest and come to God as we are.” - Calhoun p.246

There are times when I start praying through a Psalm, I realize I actually relate with that song or prayer more than I realized at first!!

But now, I know I can bring those similar things to God! It's vulnerable, unfiltered, messy, loving, gracious, merciful, and intimate.

Praying with God's Word is a gift and a great guide to our own prayers

When we are praying through God’s Word, we begin praying about things we never really considered praying about before.

God’s Word Guides Our Lives, Fills Our Lives, and Fills Our Prayers

We are transformed by God’s Word and Prayer, and are making transformed disciples of Jesus through God’s Word and Prayer.

There are 150 Psalms… and there are around 30 days in a month… each day would have 5 Psalm options.

If we go with the psalm corresponding with the date, then add 30 to that date to find the next psalm, and then add 30 again, and again, and again, you would find 5 different options to pray through for that day… briefly look at each one and then pray through the one that pops out to guide you today.
