Pray During...

There are times that in the middle of a conversation, I just personally pause and begin to pray…

-to seek God’s guidance,‌

-to remember His presence in the conversation,

-to humbly ask God to guide the conversation,

-and to see how He wants this conversation to go… “how can this conversation bring life and not death…?”

You can pray quietly or out loud during the conversation...

-You may pray quietly (without ceasing) during the conversation while they do not even know you are silently praying… or just remembering God’s presence during the conversation...

Prayer during… even out loud sometimes! Beginning the conversation, middle of the conversation, prayer requests...

Prayer humbles us, to realize our reliance of God, even in our conversations.

Some conversations are already hard enough, I don’t need to be trying to do this on my own especially when God is already here, and He’s doing what He is wanting to do through us!

Remember, you DO NOT NEED to pray out loud to remember God’s presence and His work either! The early disciples prayed together, they prayed individually, they prayed quietly without ceasing, living in prayer with God...

As we are doing whatever we are doing, we pray in humility before God’s presence. It’s yielding, trusting, and partnering with God and His Work.

As you are doing whatever you are doing, do it prayerfully… partnering with what God is doing in those moments. How is God in the moment of writing, of this conversation, while I’m listening (discerning truth), what I’m reading, what I’m doing...

In the midst of conversations and discipling, prayer and the Words of God continues to be our foundation -- before we disciple, while we disciple, and after we disciple as they disciple...
