What does it mean to be stewards... of the Gospel?

When we hear "steward", we usually think about being wise faithful stewards of the resources God has given to us (time, talents, resources). But there's something we don't often consider when we think about being stewards. Paul says that he is a steward of the mysteries of God that has been revealed to us now, that is, the gospel/good news of Jesus Christ. How are we being faithful wise stewards of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that we have received from God? Being Stewards of the Gospel drives us to be stewards of our time, talents, and resources because of what God has given to us -- the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We have received the Good News of Jesus Christ by Christians who were being stewards of the Gospel; now it’s our turn to be faithful stewards of the Good News that we have received, wisely sharing this with the people in our lives.
