Making Disciples With The Potter's Hands
We are clay being shaped in the hands of our potter, God. In this church-age/final-stage, we get to be maturing disciples of Jesus who are being shaped & transformed in Christ by God, to faithfully follow Jesus’ command to make disciples/disciple-makers.
- We are that clay in the hands of our Potter, God our creator.
- God is molding/shaping us into who we are and are becoming in Christ. In the potter’s hands, this is our new identity, and God is shaping our identity in Christ.
- Who God calls us now in Christ is who we are now in Christ.
- A discipling relationship is not forced but mutually giving and receiving as we are being shaped and transformed by God, our potter.
- We are in the final age -- the church age -- when disciples of Jesus are making disciples through God’s Word and His Spirit.
