Active Members of Jesus' Body

When you said you would follow Jesus, you became a disciple of Jesus; and when you accepted Jesus’ saving sacrifice for you, you became an adopted member into God’s Family -- the body of Christ.

Being that member of Christ came with following Him, the community of brothers and sisters in Christ came with following Jesus.

Love Christ's body as you love Christ. Love Christ's body as Christ has loved us.

There is something though to say you are committed to each other.

We become members of Christ’s universal church body and yet we also join in living out this community family within our local churches as well.

As disciples of Jesus, we ARE members of Him. We are actively living as members of Jesus’ body; and how we respond to each other is how we are living out our membership and salvation.

“Workout your salvation… [Philippians 2:12-13]”

“Faith without works is dead”. [James 2:14-26]

Our faith and our our actions go hand in hand.

Our faith in Jesus affects how we live, love, and interact with each other and the people around us.

Why do you do what you do?

When we follow Christ, we become members of His body. We are sharing Christ’s love, ministry, and saving faith with each other at our local church body and with our community.

We gather together as active members of the body of Christ — brothers and sisters in Christ — to praise and worship God together, to love, to equip and encourage each other, and to pray together. [Acts 2:42-47; Col 3:12-17]
