Gathering Together with Disciple-Making Members of Christ
Isn’t it nice to know you are not alone?
When you disciple, you are not discipling alone; you are discipling while other members are also discipling! We gather together as disciple-making members of Jesus.
It’s nice to be able to not only know but see you are not alone.
As fellow disciples of Jesus — who are making disciples -- it’s nice to know you are not alone, but it’s better when you get to see and interact with other disciple-makers as well.
Gather together, knowing other people are also making disciples of Jesus throughout their weeks.
-We get to interact, talk, catch up, encourage, pray together!
-How has the past couple weeks, months, or years been for them and the people they are discipling?
-How can you be praying for them and the people they are discipling?
-How can they be praying for you and the people you are discipling?
Questions to Consider for the next several weeks:
Let these -- and more! -- spark some questions and discussions.
-What does it mean to be a member?
-What are we a member of?
-What do you think it means to be a member of the church/ a church?
-Is there a reason for being a member?
-What do members do?
-How do we interact with other members?
-How do we treat the body we are members of?
-Is our view of membership today similar or different from the first century churches? In which ways?
To spark some of those responses or discussions, here are a few passages to get you started in preparation for this series:
- Rom 12; 13:8-10
- Acts 2:38-47; 4:29-35
- Col 2:19; 3:12-17
- Eph 2:21; 4:1-7, 11-16, 25-32
- 1 Cor 12:27
